Can't update advertisers info

A new glitch just showed up when I updated from 1.40 to 1.50

When I tried to update an advertiser's data, I get an error message:
Error Updating advertiser. Please check your database connection

I do NOT get this error when I update an ad, that processes fine.

There seems to be no issue accessing the database with the info, that's all fine; it seems to just not want to update advertisers. It's not the config file: when I deliberately add bad info in the config, I get errors, but I fix it and I get the proper database info again, so it seems to NOT be the config file. There's also no problem connecting and fetching any data.

I've reverted the database tables to my backed-up 1.40 version and re-run the sqlupgrade1.40-1.50.sql file to make sure the tables are as they should be. I still get the error message.

Any other tips?

I get the same error. Was there a solution to this? This is with the latest version of the software.

There was a small bug with the older version that prevented the save - All works fine in 1.70. Could you send a copy of your database to support -at- clippersoft.net and I'll see if I can duplicate your issue here.

I've just installed version 1.70 in a new installation (we bought the script today 18/Jan/2010) but I have the same error:
"Error Updating advertiser. Please check your database connection"

Is there a solution to this problem?

It was fixed shortly after it was discovered. Could you go to the maintenance tab, do a backup of your database and send that to support-at-clippersoft.net. I want to make sure your database was installed correctly.

Hi. I just purchased the script yesterday and encountered the same problem.

I am running on Windows 2008, IIS7 and MySQL 5.* and PHP 5.*

I am attaching a backup of my database.

Again, when I set up an advertiser, I originally allowed them to see the HOSTNAMES. But then as I saw how it was displayed, I preferred to turn this off. So, now I am getting the same error as the other users above.

Please let me know how to correct this.

PS2: I tried using your "Attachment" feature below, but it would not allow the attachment of approximately 1.5MB to be attached.
