UTF8
Hi Matt,
during the development of the wordpress plugin for MSA i realized MSA is not UTF8 safe. I implemented the PHP Remote Read Code for Groups and placed the ads in a wordpress blog with UTF8 character set enabled in the read settings. To my surprise i got a not defined character () between each banner ad but not at the end of the last one. I took the same code and placed it on an empty php page and called it with a ie8 (western europe character settings). Everything showed up fine. Then i changed the setting in ie8 to UTF8 encoding and again i got the strange character (in ie it shows up like a square but if i copy that sqaure and paste it here it transaltes to again) between each banner. I tried to examin mysimpleads.php but ... well you know, for me it is only one large line - no chance for me to debug. This strange character should be eliminated. Greez Michael |

RE: UTF8
Shoot an email to support-at-clippersoft.net and I'll send you an updated backend code piece that should store the data in the database for a multi-ad group display in a way that prevents the '?' characters from displaying.
Thanks. matt http://www.clippersoft.net ClipperSoft's mySimpleAds :: Power your website advertising with the ease and speed you've always looked for. |
